[ARCHIVED] SCAM ALERT

Scam Alert!!!
The Police Department has had multiple calls over the last two days from citizens receiving phone calls advising that unless they pay an amount of money supposedly owed by them, they face being arrested. So far, the caller has identified themselves as being from a Justice Department, or the IRS. They will advise that money needs to be placed on prepaid cards, or attorneys will show up with papers regarding your arrest. THIS IS A SCAM. Please be very aware of any personal information requested, or of anyone asking for money to be sent on a prepaid card. Do not give out any personal information requested, unless you know it is legitimate, and can also be verified. Thank you!
