A celebration of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Slickrock Bike Trail will take place Saturday morning, Sept. 14 at the Sand Flats Recreation Area on Sand Flats Road east of Moab.

On Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m., the celebration continues at historic Star Hall, 159 E. Center Street, with the premiere screening of a new documentary film, "50 Years of Slickrock."
