The Moab City Council is considering a proposal that would implement mandatory recycling as part of the City's waste hauling contract. If implemented, the cost for residential trash and recycling service combined would be between $28 and $30 per month.
At their January 22 meeting, the City Council voted to delay action on the proposed contract in order to receive additional feedback from local residents. The City Council will discuss the proposed contract again during the regular February 12, 2019 Council meeting. That meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Moab City Hall, 217 E. Center Street.
Moab residents are invited to submit comments on this proposal to the Council by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Residents are also encouraged to attend the February 12 meeting to voice their opinions in person during the Citizens To Be Heard section of the meeting.
