[ARCHIVED] The Moab International Film Festival at Historic Star Hall

We have received and will be showing some world premiers from some well-known filmmakers, some award-winning films, and some truly great films by people who will make their debut and be discovered at the festival.

For Grand County students only, we are offering a special screening of King: A Filmed Record... Montgomery to Memphis. Richard Kaplan, Associate Producer in charge of production, will be introducing the film which was nominated for an Academy Award, won admission into the National Film Registry and has been entered into the Library of Congress. The film, which was originally screened for one night only, has been called “The most important documentary ever produced” and was featured recently on NPR's Democracy Now!. Because we feel the documentary is of such great historical and educational value, there will be no charge for admission at the special screening for students only.
