Recreation Special Events

The Moab City Recreation Department offers a variety of special events for the community throughout the year. These include but are not limited to: Free Movie Nights, Toddler Gym Time, The Annual Turkey Trot 5K, an Easter Egg Hunt and more! We are happy to provide affordable activities for Moab locals and families to participate in. We hope to see you there!

Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Join us for our annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8th at Swanny City Park! The Hunt starts at 10 AM, and is a FREE event for the public.

* Children ages 1-8 are invited to hunt for eggs, and will be split into areas of the park according to age group.

Turkey Trot 5K

ATTENTION RUNNERS, WALKERS & TROTTERS! Moab City's Annual Turkey Trot 5K will take place on Saturday November 12, 2022 starting @ 9 AM at the Moab Recreation and Aquatics Center.

FREE Kid's K (1 lap around Swanny Park) for ages 9 and under will begin at 9 AM (no pre-registration required), followed by the 5K at approximately 9:15. Packet pickup / registration will be held from 7:30-8:30 AM in the MRAC lobby the morning of the race.

Please be advised that due to flooding, there is a NEW ROUTE for this year's race. (link to course map below. course map subject to change. Rec staff will communicate any changes to racers if / when they occur)
