Water
Reporting a water problem
- For water breaks in your home or water breaks from the water main to your house, call Utility Services at 435-259-5577.
- After-hour emergency calls can be directed to the Sheriff's Department at 435-259-8115.
Citizens in Moab are financially responsible for maintenance and repairs from the city main to their house, even if their service line crosses into city right of way to connect to the city mains.
Water Resources
Water is an important resource in the desert and city crews keep a watchful eye over this precious resource. Almost all of the city's culinary water supply lies in the aquifers under the Moab Golf Course. This land is leased to the Moab Country Club by the city, but the city maintains ownership of the land and water and plays a strong supervisory role in the protection of the water.
Wastewater Treatment
Wastewater treatment is also critical in any community. Moab has a state-of-the-art mechanical wastewater reclamation facility which is continually upgraded. The most recent upgrade occurred in 2019. For information about the City's Wastewater Reclamation Facility visit this page.
